Released from prison after helping her oldest daughter obtain an illegal abortion, Frankie returns to her small, conservative hometown to regain custody. In a community filled with fear, Frankie must find allies willing to publicly defend her maternal capabilities.

At Mother's Knee was developed at the 2025 Hamptons Screenwriting Lab with mentorship from Justin Kuritzkes, Rachel Shukert, and Dan Janvey. The script was also developed in the 2025 Athena labs, was semi-finalist in the 2025 Nantucket Tony Cox Screenplay Competition and is currently a quarter-finalist in the 2026 Cinequest Screenplay Competition and a semi-finalist in the 2026 Missouri Stories Scriptwriting Fellowship.
